Free climate change training for residents.

Community and environment charity, Gourndwork East and Central Bedfordshire Council launch a new initiative for residents

Central Bedfordshire Council and Groundwork East have teamed up to provide the residents with an opportunity to learn about climate change and its impact on the environment. The new initiative offers a completely free online course that teaches Carbon Literacy, which empowers people to take action in their daily lives and communities. The accredited course provides learners with up-to-date information and tools to understand the science behind climate change, including greenhouse gases, the likely changes in climate, and its effects on the UK and other parts of the world. The course is available for anyone living, working, or studying in the Central Bedfordshire area and can be booked online via Eventbrite. Don’t miss out on this chance to make a positive impact on our planet!

Laura Ferrier, Project Lead at Groundwork East, said: “We often have conversations with people who feel helpless when it comes to tackling climate change. This training is a positive step focused on action and presented in an accessible way that cuts through the jargon. The short eModule course can be completed at home, work or college and is a great introduction to the issue.”
